Candy Richey has been very active in the communities of Southwest Washington State for 15 years. She relocated to Claremore in November of 2007
- 2007 Congressional Order of Merit
- 2007 Volunteer of the Year awarded by Washington State Grange
- 2006 Businesswoman of the Year Award by the National Republican Congressional Committee on Business
- 2006 National Leadership Award
- Public Relations Chairman for the Pacific Northwest Kiwanis District – four years.
Presented public relations workshops and seminars.
- Independent Staff Photographer for the San Diego Padres, 1990
- Professional Photographers of America Award of Excellence in the International Marketing Photography competition
- Active in Kiwanis International, built two clubs, served as Distinguished Lt. Governor 1998-99; Distinguished Club President in 1997 and 2005, Distinguished Club Secretary 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004; awarded Hixson from Kiwanis Club of
Mount St. Helens; Kiwanis Leadership Society 2005.
- Served on various community boards including Camp Fire USA, Castle Rock Community Action, founding board of Cowlitz County Crime Stoppers
- Certified First Responder, completed firefighter training in 1995
